I've always wanted one of these ratchets and I am a Dewalt guy so it only seemed like the thing to do was to get a dewalt ratchet. After the first use of removing bolts from a front caliper to change brakes, it stopped working! Tried taking it back to home depot to get it switched out or have them order me a new one but it got to be quite a pain in the rear to get done. After talking to 2 different ladies, from the help line on their website, it went to having to return the set ( it was a deal that if you bought the ratchet they discounted it enough to throw in a battery so it ended up being free for the battery) anyway, I didn't think I would get the deal if I returned the whole order so the second gal found one in stock at a HD on the other side of town. With a little bit of explanation, that HD traded me strait across for one they had in stock. Worked out in the end but what a pain. Still kinda leary on using it for what it's meant to do. It does have alot of torque but it's kinda big and bulky. I see the competition has a couple different sizes and look handy as crap but that would mean I would have to go red. Best of luck with yours when you break down and get one of these.

I’ve used this ratchet on a valve job, a clutch rebuild, 2 water pumps, oil pump, and a new camshaft seal job. I do like the size and power. However, it lacks the adjustability of my other DeWalt impact drivers, in other words, there are no power and/or speed range controls. The only control of speed and power is combined through the use of the trigger button. I don’t think other ratchet brands have extra speed and power control features either but if they do, I want one. Also, it takes two hands to change direction and that is a pain. Again, probably like other brands. But, all said, it is a great tool when you can’t get a normal impact driver in there….which is quite often. I just wish it had a few more features. One other item, all the hype around the new battery seems a bit overblown. I’d like to see some comparison tests on the new battery.
Sturdy, Speedy, but pricey

The ratchet is rock solid! It doesnt flex at all when you use hand torque to initially loosen fasteners, then you can use its speed to finish them off. Fasteners not as tight, you wont even need to hand break them free. Its slim and fits into tight spaces, though, I wish they had an extended version of it. The only downside of this tool that i have found so far is the price. Its pricey for what it is and if it was 50 bucks cheaper, it would be at a good price point. Dont buy if you dont NEED it.
[Rewarded Review] Very very good ratchet!

I wanna start by saying this ratchet 100% delivers on its claims of torque. While it may not be the fastest, it powers thru everything. There is no flex in the body when you need to break off a little extra torque to use its speed which is great. My only small complaint, is the vibrations up the arm are not the most fun to have. Otherwise, this is an amazing ratchet to reach into tight spaces to remove bolts on my car, tv mounts and more.
